In a tiny bit of a park, a quick-witted squirrel named Kit sat on a bird's nest. "Tweet-tweet, quit it!" chirped the bird. "This isn't fit for a sit!" Kit leapt from the nest and skid on a grit pit.
"Didn't mean to flit, Little Bird. Just wanted to visit," Kit admitted.
The bird squawked, "Visit but don't sit!"
Kit slid past the bird, tried a backflip, but landed in a lit pit. "Oh, your trick was a misfit," said the bird, with a smile just a tad bit smug.
Kit, a bit hot and sooty, chuckled, "Indeed. But wouldn't it be a hit if I could do a perfect split?"
Bird giggled, "A split? Now that would be legit!"
From that day, Bird and Kit enjoyed many a visit, filled with fun and non-stop wit.
