Together, they baked gingerbread men, better than ever before. Peg took them to the beggar. He was no longer a stranger. His eyes lit up like a star. He was warmer and happier.
That Christmas, Peg learnt a bigger lesson. She learnt that to make your heart fuller, sometimes, all you have to do is be kinder.
