Brad and the Ticking Jar

In a far star, lived a sad lad named Brad. Brad had a jar full of tad bits of time. Each day was a scar, as he saw time slip afar. His heart felt so bad. Tick tock, each tick was a shock. Brad had a bar chart made of red yarn. Every day, Brad would add a stark mark. The task was hard, but Brad was in charge. Tick tock, the chart looked like a star. "It's bizarre," said Brad, "time's not on par." His cat, Chad, purred and rubbed against the jar. Tick tock, the last day was ajar. Brad stared at the jar, his eyes like tar. He sighed, "It's too far, Chad. Tomorrow, we restart." So, Brad, the sad lad from the far star, held his jar and Chad, under the last tick tock of the bizarre year.
