In the 14th century, a grand castle was built. It was called Tullow Castle, but sadly, it's not there anymore. But don't be sad, because the stories of the castle live on! It's said that the castle was home to the brave Butler family who defended Tullow from invaders.

My Family and Tullowphelim

Hi, I'm Bailey and I'm 8 years old! I live in this really cool place called Tullowphelim, in Co. Carlow. It's really fun to grow up here because there's so much to see and do. My favourite spot is the Altamont Gardens. It's like a huge playground, but with tons of beautiful flowers and trees. I love going there with my family.

There's also this really old building in Tullow, it's called Tullow Castle. It's not like the castles in my storybooks, but it's still really cool to see. I like to imagine what it was like when people actually lived in it. Sometimes, my friends and I pretend we're knights or princesses defending the castle.

I also love the River Slaney that flows right through Tullow. It's super fun to watch the ducks swimming in it. Plus, it's really relaxing to listen to the sound of the water.

So, that's a little bit about me and where I live. I can't wait to have more adventures here in Tullowphelim!
