The Claddagh is a very special townland in Ireland, right in the heart of Galway city. Its name, in Irish, means "stoney beach" and it's been around for hundreds of years!

My Family and The Claddagh

Hi, I'm Emery, and I'm 8 years old! I live in a really cool place called The Claddagh. It's in Ireland and it's super special. My favourite part is the Claddagh ring monument. It's a big giant ring, way bigger than any ring you could wear!

There's also a great big church called St. Mary's Church. It's really, really old, like hundreds of years old, and it looks like a castle. I go there sometimes with my family.

The best part though, is the view of the River Corrib. I love watching the boats go by, and sometimes, I see swans too! There's always something fun to do or see at The Claddagh. I can't wait to grow up here and see even more.
