All about Steve Biko

Steve Biko was a brave and inspiring man who lived in South Africa. He wanted to make sure that everyone, no matter the color of their skin, was treated fairly and equally. Steve was born in 1946 and grew up during a time when black people in South Africa were not treated well because of a system called apartheid.

Steve believed that all people should be proud of who they are and their culture. He worked hard to help black people stand up for their rights and be treated with respect. Steve started a group called the Black Consciousness Movement to empower black people and fight against discrimination.

Unfortunately, Steve was arrested and treated very badly by the government because of his beliefs. He passed away in 1977, but his legacy lived on. Steve Biko's courage and determination inspired many people around the world to continue the fight for equality and justice.

Even though Steve Biko is no longer with us, his spirit and his passion for justice continue to inspire people to this day. He will always be remembered as a hero who stood up for what he believed in.
