Visit to the Birthplace of Percy Jackson & the Olympians series

Hi everyone! My name is Vanessa and I'm 8 years old. Today, I want to share with you all about my exciting visit to the birthplace of one of my favorite authors, Rick Riordan! His birthplace is San Antonio, Texas, in the United States. It was so cool to be in the same city where he grew up and got inspired to write amazing books like Percy Jackson!

  1. First, we visited the house where Rick Riordan was born, and I imagined him as a little boy playing in the same streets I was walking on.
  2. After that, we went to the Tower of the Americas, a tall tower in San Antonio where you can see the whole city from the top! It felt like I was on top of the world!
  3. Next, we explored the River Walk, a beautiful area with shops, restaurants, and boats floating on the river. I even saw some ducks swimming by!
  4. Then, we visited the Alamo, a historic site where an important battle took place long ago. I learned so much about the history of Texas!
  5. Finally, we ended our day by trying some delicious Tex-Mex food at a local restaurant. The tacos were so yummy!
