A Visit to Lisbon

Hi, my name is Cameron and I am 8 years old. Today, I want to tell you all about my amazing visit to the beautiful city of Lisbon in Portugal. It was such an exciting adventure!

When we arrived in Lisbon, I was in awe of the colorful buildings and the narrow, winding streets. The first place we visited was the famous Belem Tower. It's a tall stone tower right by the river and it looks like a castle! We got to climb up the tower and I felt like a real explorer.

Inside the tower, there were lots of tiny rooms and even some cannons. I imagined being a brave knight defending the city from enemies. The view from the top of the tower was breathtaking! I could see the sparkling blue water of the river and the whole city spread out below me.

After exploring the tower, we went for a stroll along the riverfront. There were so many cool boats and yachts sailing by. We even saw a big bridge called the 25th of April Bridge. It reminded me of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.

We also visited a famous pastry shop called Pasteis de Belem. They are famous for their delicious custard tarts called pastel de nata. I tried one and it was the yummiest thing I've ever tasted! The shop was always busy with people lining up to get their own tasty treats.
