Symbols and Traditions

Hi! My name is Peter, and I am 8 years old. I want to tell you about a super fun place I visited called Sesame Street. You might know Sesame Street from TV, but did you know you can actually visit it? It's a place where Jim Henson, the guy who made the Muppets, is really famous.

The best part of my visit was seeing Big Bird's nest. It was huge, and I even got to sit in it for a picture! I also saw Oscar the Grouch's trash can, and he popped out to say hello. It was so funny! There was a museum there with lots of puppets that Jim Henson made. My favorite puppet was Kermit the Frog. I learned that Jim Henson made Kermit from an old coat. Isn't that cool?

We also watched a puppet show where the Muppets sang songs and danced. It was awesome! I even got to make my own puppet with googly eyes and feathers. I named my puppet Wiggly because he wiggles a lot. Visiting Sesame Street was the best day ever, and I can't wait to go back!
