Hi everyone! My name is Ben and I'm 8 years old. Today, I want to tell you about an amazing trip I had with my family. We went to visit the birthplace of one of my favorite authors, Jeff Kinney! Can you believe it?
So, Jeff Kinney was born in a city called Fort Washington, which is in the United States. It's a small town in the state of Maryland. We traveled all the way there just to see where he grew up and got inspired to write the awesome "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" series. It was really exciting!
But that's not all. Fort Washington is also home to a famous tourist attraction called the National Harbor. It's a super cool waterfront area with lots of fun things to do. We got to ride on a giant Ferris wheel and see the breathtaking views of the Potomac River. It was like being in a movie!
I even got a chance to imagine myself as Greg Heffley, the main character from the books, while exploring the streets of Fort Washington. I felt so connected to the story and it made me love the books even more.
