Hi there! My name is Mia, and I'm 8 years old. Today, I want to tell you all about my exciting visit to the birthplace of J.M. Barrie. You might know him as the author of the famous book "Peter Pan"! So, let's get started!
Last summer, my family and I took a trip to Kirriemuir, a small town in Scotland. It's the birthplace of J.M. Barrie. Can you believe it? That's where he was born and grew up! Kirriemuir is a lovely town with beautiful green hills and lots of friendly people.
We visited the house where J.M. Barrie was born. It's called "The Barrie Birthplace Museum." Inside, we saw many interesting things like old photographs and toys from the past. I even got to dress up as Peter Pan! It was so much fun pretending to be a brave and mischievous character like him.
After the museum, we explored a famous tourist attraction called "Glamis Castle." It's located near Kirriemuir too. This castle is huge and has so many rooms! We learned that J.M. Barrie used to play in the gardens of Glamis Castle when he was a child. I imagined him having amazing adventures just like Peter Pan.
