Guinea-Bissau

Guinea-Bissau is a country in West Africa with lots of interesting geographical features! Let's learn about them!

First, Guinea-Bissau has a beautiful coastline along the Atlantic Ocean. It has sandy beaches and clear blue waters. You can imagine playing and building sandcastles on these beaches!

Next, there are many rivers in Guinea-Bissau. The biggest one is called the Geba River. It flows through the country and is an important source of water for people and animals. There are also smaller rivers that create a network of waterways across the land.

Guinea-Bissau is known for its vast mangrove forests. Mangroves are special trees that grow in salty water near the coast. They have roots that stick out of the water and provide a home for many different animals, like crabs and birds.

Inland, you will find rolling hills and plateaus. These are areas of land that are higher than the surrounding land. They are covered with grass and sometimes trees. These hills and plateaus make for a beautiful landscape.

Finally, Guinea-Bissau has a tropical climate, which means it is hot and humid for most of the year. This is because it is located near the equator. The country also has a rainy season, when it rains a lot, and a dry season, when there is less rain.
