A Visit to Helsinki

Hi everyone! My name is Tommy and I'm 8 years old. Today, I want to tell you all about my amazing trip to Helsinki, Finland. It was so much fun!

When my family and I arrived in Helsinki, the first thing that caught my eye was the beautiful architecture. The buildings were so different from what I was used to seeing back home. We stayed in a cozy little hotel right in the heart of the city.

One of the coolest places we visited was Suomenlinna, a huge fortress built on several islands. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site! We took a ferry to get there, which was really exciting. Once we arrived, we explored the fortress and learned all about its history. There were old cannons, tunnels, and even a museum!

After exploring Suomenlinna, we went to the Helsinki Zoo. I saw so many animals that I had only ever seen in books or on TV. My favorite was definitely the reindeer. They were so cute and fluffy, and I even got to feed them!

Helsinki is also known for its beautiful parks and green spaces. We visited the Esplanade Park, which was filled with flowers and statues. It was the perfect place to have a picnic and relax.

All in all, my trip to Helsinki was unforgettable. I loved exploring the city, learning about its history, and seeing all the amazing sights. I can't wait to go back someday!
