A Visit to Ed Emberleys Drawing Book of Animals

Hi, my name is Katie and I am 8 years old. Today, I want to tell you all about my visit to the gallery in the amazing city of Amsterdam, in the Netherlands. It was such an exciting day for me!

First things first, let me tell you about the gallery. It's called the Van Gogh Museum, and it's all about this famous artist named Vincent Van Gogh. But you know what was even more awesome? They had a special exhibition of Ed Emberley's Drawing Book of Animals! I love drawing, so I was super excited to see it.

When we entered the gallery, I couldn't believe my eyes. There were so many amazing paintings by Van Gogh on the walls. The colors were so bright and vibrant, it felt like they were coming to life! But I couldn't wait to see the Ed Emberley exhibition.

We went upstairs to the special exhibition area, and there it was – the Drawing Book of Animals. It was filled with step-by-step instructions on how to draw different animals. I picked up a pencil and started following the instructions. Before I knew it, I had drawn a cute little puppy! It wasn't perfect, but I was so proud of myself.

After spending some time in the gallery, we went to another tourist attraction in Amsterdam called the Anne Frank House. It was a house where a girl named Anne Frank hid during World War II. I learned so much about her life and how she wrote a diary. It was a bit sad, but also inspiring to see how she stayed positive during such a difficult time.
