Hi, I'm Darcy and I'm 8 years old. I live in Clifferna, Co. Cavan and it's the best place ever. My house is near the Clifferna Stone. It's a big stone that's like, really really old. Some people say it's been here even before dinosaurs. Cool, right?
Next to the stone there's a big green field where I like to play football with my friends. We have so much fun, especially when we find a lucky four-leaf clover. There's also a river nearby, the River Erne. It's super pretty and I love to watch the ducks swimming in it. Sometimes, we have picnics by the river. My favourite part is eating sandwiches and waving at the boats that pass by.
There's a little bridge over the river that we cross to get to school. It's a small school but it's really nice. I love to learn new things and my teacher says I'm really good at math. I think that's because I count all the stones on the way to school!
