A Visit to Egypt

Hi, my name is Tommy and I am 8 years old. Today, I want to share with you about my amazing visit to Egypt where Cleopatra, the famous queen, used to live. It was a dream come true for me!

First, we visited the Pyramids of Giza. These huge structures were built a long, long time ago and they are so tall! I learned that the pyramids were tombs for the pharaohs, who were like kings in ancient Egypt. I felt like a little explorer as I climbed up the steps and looked out at the desert surrounding me.

Next, we went to the beautiful city of Alexandria. It is a modern city now, but it still has lots of history. We visited the Alexandria Library, which was built to honor the ancient Library of Alexandria that Cleopatra loved. I saw so many books and learned about the great scholars who used to study here.

One of the most exciting places we visited was the Temple of Isis on the island of Philae. Cleopatra worshipped the goddess Isis, and the temple was dedicated to her. I felt like I was stepping back in time as I walked through the ancient ruins and saw the colorful hieroglyphs on the walls.

My visit to Egypt was truly a magical experience. Learning about Cleopatra and seeing the places she was famous for made me feel like I was a part of history. I can't wait to explore more places and learn about different cultures!
