Hi, I'm Max! I just turned 8 years old. I live in a cool place called Carrownagarry in County Galway. It's super fun to grow up here because there's so much to see and do.
One of my favourite places to visit is the old stone church. It's really old and has lots of interesting carvings on it. My friends and I like to make up stories about the people who might have made them.
We also have a big, beautiful lake nearby. Sometimes, my family and I go for picnics there. I love to throw stones in the water and watch the ripples they make. I've even seen a couple of ducks there!
There are loads of farms around us too. Sometimes, I help my neighbour feed their cows. The cows are really big but they're friendly. I like to listen to the sounds they make, it's really funny!
I think Carrownagarry is the best place to grow up. There's always something interesting to see or do and lots of friends to do them with! I can't wait to see what else I'll discover as I get older.

If we break it down, 'Ceathrú' means a quarter or a fourth part. 'Na' is the Irish word for 'of the', and 'gCearc' means 'hens'. So, Carrownagarry means 'The Quarter of the Hens' in English.
