A Visit to Thimphu

Hi, my name is Felicia and I am 8 years old. Today, I want to tell you all about my amazing visit to the city of Thimphu in Bhutan. It was such a fun and exciting experience!

First, let me tell you a little bit about Thimphu. It is the capital city of Bhutan, a small country located in the Himalayas. Thimphu is surrounded by beautiful mountains and has a mix of modern buildings and traditional Bhutanese architecture. It is a really cool place!

During my visit, my family and I went to see the famous Buddha Dordenma statue. It is a massive statue of Lord Buddha, standing at a height of 169 feet. It was so huge, I felt like a tiny ant standing next to it! The statue is made of bronze and gilded in gold, sparkling in the sun. It was absolutely breathtaking.
