My Family and Ballyshaneduff Or The Derries

Hi, I'm Kelly, and I'm 8 years old. I live in a cool place called Ballyshaneduff Or The Derries in Co. Laois. It's a really fun place to grow up. There's a big, tall tower called The Folly of the Ridge. It's super high, and you can see everything from there. I like to pretend it's a castle, and I'm the king!

Another awesome place is The Rock of Dunamase. It's a big old rock from a very long time ago. It's like a giant's stepping stone! I like to climb it with my friends, but we have to be careful because it's very old.

We also have a cool lake, Ballintubbert Gardens. It's full of ducks and swans. I like to feed them and watch them swim. It's the best part of my day!

Living here makes every day an adventure. I can't wait to explore and learn new things. I hope you enjoyed reading about my home!
