All about Anne Frank

A Visit to Amsterdam

Hi, my name is Nora and I am 8 years old. I'm so excited to share with you about my recent trip to Amsterdam! It was an amazing adventure for my family and me. We visited many interesting places, but the one that really stood out to me was the Anne Frank House.

The Anne Frank House is a museum that used to be a secret hiding place during World War II. I learned about Anne Frank in school, but seeing where she lived really brought her story to life. We went through the rooms where she and her family hid from the Nazis for two years. It was so small and cramped, but I could imagine what it must have been like for them.

The most special part of the visit was seeing Anne's actual diary. It was incredible to think that a girl my age wrote those words so long ago. I felt a connection to her as I read about her hopes and dreams, even though we lived in different times.

After visiting the Anne Frank House, we walked around Amsterdam and saw so many beautiful buildings and canals. We also went to the Westerkerk, a church that Anne Frank could see from her window. It was amazing to stand in the same place she once stood, looking out at the world beyond her hiding place.
